Sandakan (Mile 4)

Hi, today I want to introduce my hometown "Sandakan". Before I introduce Sandakan, I am feel so glad that because Sandakan city map was recorded inside Google Earth.

Sandakan is located at the eastern part of Sabah, Malaysia. Here is a small city, Sandakan was being upgraded to a "Natural City" just few years ago (I forgot which year, I think should be 2002-03). Sandakan is quite boring but have streamyx broadband service, so I can online at home everydays.

When you come to Sandakan, you may ask local people here, "Where do you go?". Most of them will answer, "I go to mile 4." Why? Why go to mile 4? Why not mile 3 or 5? When you go to mile 4 and go to a shop to buy something, please don't talk mandarin to the shopkeepers. Because most of them are talking cantonese, even i'm hakka, I also pretend like a Cantonese to talk cantonese with them.

Here is the most busiest area in Sandakan. Almost everydays I go to Mile 4, there always traffic jam especially during working hours, school hours, after school hours and days off times.

Here is Bandar Pasaraya or in Chinese we call "Heng Loong town" There have so many cars during working hours. There have too many cars with a few parking space around the shops.

Here is Bandar Kim Fung just located near Bandar Pasaraya. Here is quite old but still have many cars and always makes the traffic jam when they finding their parking space.

This is a Chinese Private Secondary School which is "Yu Yuan Secondary School". Its not control by government and all the classes have air-cond. This school just located near Bandar Kim Fung.

When you go to another side, just opposite of "Yu Yuan Secondary School". Here is Bandar Indah. The shops here are newer than "Bandar Kim Fung" and "Bandar Pasaraya". Another supermarket here is call "Parkwell", which is the branch of "Servay" Supermarket at Bandar Pasaraya.
